This basic nesting box, made with timber from a FSC-certified forest with galvanised roof, provides a fine place for a Wren to build a shelter from the elements and helps encourage them to nest in your garden. Now is the time to put up a bird house!

The box should be hung in a quiet, somewhat protected location, so not in direct sun or in the direction of rain, with a clear flying route for the bird. The autumn is the best time to clean the nesting box.

Put up a new nest box now. Birds will check them out for next spring's nest site, or they may use them beforehand as a roosting spot during the cold months.
